PRE K - 5TH GRADE
Almighty God, heavenly Father, you have blessed us with the joy and care of children: Give us calm strength and patient wisdom as we bring them up, that we may teach them to love whatever is just and true and good, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. Prayer for the Care of Children. (BCP p. 829)

Christian Education at Saint Paul’s incorporates:

  • Sunday School Classes
  • Weekly Worship
  • Fellowship Events

Sunday School Classes . . .
This year’s Sunday School classes look to be educational, meaningful, and fun. The curriculum we are using is called “All things New”. This curriculum has special lessons for all grades. It is based on Biblical stories and is very engaging. On the back of this pamphlet you will see the schedule of stories to be explored. Please make note of the dates we are not having Sunday school and come the rest of the time. Remember the more people who come consistently the more we can learn together. Classes are scheduled from 9:30 am until 10:15 am every Sunday that is scheduled.

Weekly Worship . . .
We encourage all to attend our weekly Sunday worship services at 10:30 am right after Sunday school. Worship is where much of our education takes place. This year we will have a special time for children during many of our Holy Eucharist Services. Father Layden will give a short children’s homily in the beginning of many services. Children are encouraged to participate as much as they can and want to during the service. Any child up to second grade may make use of the nursery any time. You can have your child stay for the children’s homily and then leave with others to the nursery. They can start in the nursery and you can get them before Holy Communion. They can stay in the nursery throughout the service if you would like. Please be respectful of the service and others who are worshipping when you are escorting young children in and out of the service.

Fellowship Events . . .
In order to foster continued growth of relationships among parents and children in God’s church we have a few fellowship events planned. There will be separate flyers mailed out for each event. Let’s have some fun together this year.

  • Kickoff Breakfast on September 10th
  • Blessing of the Animals on October 1st
